Everyone has unique strengths. I reflect yours back to you and use them as the foundation for further developing your business development mindset and strategies.

I have spent 25 years working in and with law firms.  From practicing law and pitching for business as an attorney, to directing the business development department at major NYC law firms, I realized that my passion is in working with lawyers one-on-one and in small groups on business development.

I know how hard it is to meet the demands of the practice of law and to build your pipeline of clients at the same time.  No one teaches you in law school that the law is both a profession and business.  You want to do the work; I help you get the work.  And I strive to make the process as enjoyable and supportive as possible, while being consistently results-driven.  We will get things done, and we will have fun in the pursuit.

Some specifics about me:

  • 12 years as a senior Business Development executive at two AmLaw 100 law firms (Proskauer and Ropes & Gray, in their NYC offices)

  • Deep experience in business development; strategic marketing; strategic planning and implementation; client development and service; brand definition and management; marketing communications; social media strategy; business development research and analysis; and trend identification

  • 12 years of coaching and consulting with hundreds of lawyers on their individual business plans and training groups of lawyers on business development

  • 6 years as a practicing lawyer in NY and NJ, representing major corporations and firms in M&A and private equity deals (including Winston & Strawn and Sills Cummis)

  • 4 years of directing fundraising initiatives for Fordham Law School, identifying, cultivating and soliciting major gift donors

  • Yale BA in English with distinction; JD from Rutgers Law School (Newark)

  • Member of the Bars of NY and NJ

  • Certification in business development coaching for lawyers (through the Legal Sales and Service Organization)

  • Coursework at NYU toward a Diploma in Coaching

  • Member, NY City Bar Association "Career Advancement and Management” Committee and "Mindfulness & Well-Being in Law” Committee
